Superbowl XLV

Posted on Monday, February 7, 2011 in Daily Motions, Friends' Asylum, Special Occasions

mmm. my first ever superbowl. and it was depressing. =(

but the commercials and the half-time performance was freaking awesome, i’d give you that. =) the play, not so. awesome offense by the Greenbay Packers and great defense by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now if only Steelers hadn’t fumbled much, or made really bad decisions, they would’ve had a shot at evening the score. Alas, it was not to be. So close yet so far. =/ That is sad, don’t you think?

Oh well. I quite like the Volkswagen Beetle commercial, and the Bridgestone Carma ad. =P awesome ones out of the bunch. creative, innovative, and fun to watch. XD i quite like Adrien Brody in Stella Artois ad too. :) that was rather charming.

We watched it at Jerry’s house, and had an awesome potluck dinner :) had curry chicken, asam laksa, curry beef, egg tart, and awesome ice cream. :) it was a lovely gathering. and we had angpows too! :) ooh, and i had some lessons in photography by amerie. she doesn’t know it but meh, knowing that the Av setting helps with portrait shots is rather helpful somewhat. incredible lighting helps as well. =P i just need a shallow depth. that’s all. alrighty. that’s all for now. :)

Dec 30

a holy gathering.

Posted on Thursday, December 30, 2010 in Daily Motions, Friends' Asylum, Holidays, Personal, Thoughts

well, this has been a little joke among my little circle of friends.

you see, Charlie’s dad is the bishop of West Malaysia. we’re currently staying with a host family right now, in Austin. the patriarch is the retired archbishop of S.E.A, and former bishop of Sabah. His wife is the daughter of the first bishop of West Malaysia. tonight, the daughter’s friends came over, and they are husband and wife, and both are pastors’ kids.

can you see what an awesome gathering this is? XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

i’ve always found pastor’s kids fascinating. they are indeed a category of their own. a very eclectic & strange-but-true category. XD undefinable. unfathomable.

and their sense of humor is usually a very elegant waltz on the fine line between divine humor and cheekiness. makes you wonder doesn’t it?

tonight, we were having dinner, and the conversation led to our plans for tomorrow, or tonight. before that, let’s get to know our characters!

Lois – ABK.
Alex – husband.
April – PK (wife)
Mac – PK (husband)

“so what you want to do tonight?”
“6th street…” quipped ABK’s husband. XD 6th street is a notorious street with a popular clubbing scene in Austin.
“ohohohohoho… he wants to corrupt you two!”
“we should all get tattoos!”
“yeah, you should write there ABK!”
“nono, we’ll start with PK, then BK, then ABK! and mom should come along too!” – mom here refers to the matriarch of the host family.
“charlotte should do it too!” XD

another instance, showing how BKs and PKs try to break out of their shells. XD

“Alex and April wants to open their ‘tell-it-like-it-is’ counseling, because they don’t care about people’s feelings…” Lois explained.
“The truth shall set you free!” Alex quipped.
“So when people go to them, they will scold them and then, Mac and I will have our own counseling next door to pick up the broken pieces…” Lois continued. “And send them on their way to a friend’s restaurant, and they’ll eat and get fat, and go back to Alex and April’s.”
“And we’ll tell them, ‘You’re fat! What is wrong with you??” April chimed in. and we all burst into laughter.

8O

wicked humor.

another friend of theirs went out for dinner with the missus, and they left their young child with the family, and the boy was particularly attached to the men, and the men decided to take a picture of the boy being held up close enough to the fan as though his head was going to get cut off and they would send the picture to his parents.

=O goodness me. and to think Charlie is bad. XD

Dec 27

good tidings to me!

Posted on Monday, December 27, 2010 in College Life, Daily Motions, Friends' Asylum, Holidays

ah. greetings from the lone star state. :D

i bring good tidings! i scored well during the finals after all, and earned a miraculous A+ for history. And As for my Physics, Forensics (another miracle), and Japanese Culture. Organic Chemistry was a bitch. == It gave me a C. =( anyway, i’m still grateful for my grades :D coz this means i started off well. and the next semester will be slightly tougher, with 3 heavy subjects: Organic Chemistry II, Biology & Statistics. I need to have lotsa practice. >< so not looking forward to it at all. but i’m really happy about my awesome & legendary schedule next semester :D hehehe. at least i have 4 days of weekend. hopefully i can repeat this fantastical feat the following semester. :D hehehe. i promise not to abuse such a wonderful arrangement. XD

anyway, this trip has been nothing but an eye-opener for me. opened my eyes to God’s abundant grace! i can’t imagine that i would still need to widen my perspective that much more until i went on this trip. XD anyway, let’s start at Houston. :D

i arrived around 5 at houston, and it took me about an hour to get to the motel, where lerdie was waiting for me. i thought that with a train ticket, i could still board the bus, but this was not to be. sigh. the bus driver was very unhelpful too! so i stood there, helpless, and rather lost when the man behind me offered to pay for me. so i went to take a seat and started taking out the exact change needed and handed it to him. he refused. i told mum, and she cautioned (understatement) that he could follow me later. i was a bit worried, and my plan of looking like a local went down the drain. T^T anyway, he got off at an earlier stop. to make things worse, my ipod touch was being finicky on loading the route map for the bus, so i couldn’t see where i should stop. and my night vision isn’t the best, so i took out my blackberry as the last resort. to my surprise, the google maps app on my phone helped me tracked my route! and i got off at the right stop.

when i got off, i saw a man watching from a verandah, facing the road. so i decided to go and take the other way, and followed this couple. we walked together, but not near enough, and as i reached the other end, i saw a gang of black guys, watching us, and i got scared. lol. but i prayed, and quickly climbed the stairs, and managed to reach the room safely! yay! so when it was time for us to go out for dinner, there wasn’t anyone around! yay! another bonus!

anyway, the next day(12/22), we went to the hermann park zoo, and took pictures around the area as well as in the zoo! that was awesome too. and we got back safely. :D the day after that (12/23), we met up with lerdie’s friend of a friend from texas a&m. she introduced us to her male friend, and they brought us to a vietnamese breakfast place. :D and from there, we set off to a good place for go-kart racing! i won the first and lost the second round =( to lerdie, no less. >< anyway, we went to another go-karting place which had a laser tag maze! we played laser tag! yay! i was carnage, lerdie was zorro, and we were in the red team. we lost though, but i got the 10th spot. :D hehee. tat was fun! and that evening, we went to eat at the TCBY, and i ate chocolate yogurt. tastes like icecream. we went to an indian restaurant after that, and i had the awesomest butter chicken with poori! weeeeee. ooh, and we met another friend of vivian’s – wilson. he’s … a smart alec. XD

we hung out with wilson & jimy for the next few days, and wilson brought us volunteering! <3 that was an awesome experience! i now have a mild addiction to do more of it when i get back! both of the guys were so concerned about our well-being when on-board Greyhound that they insisted we bought a mace each, and brought us to get some :D

so we reached Dallas about midnight, and safely too. =) we had an awesome Christmas dinner the next day, and I got the chance to taste some wunnerful croissant! wooooooo. i miss it. =( imma gonna try to find a good bakery around my place when i get back and make my own =P weeee.

how does God come into the picture? well, to me, He introduced us to two new friends who are very nice and caring, and we’ve only known them for such a short amount of time. But still, they treated us very well, and made sure to protect us at all times. I’m amazed. On top of that, our accommodation is in top-notch quality, and it’s only $20 a night too, for one person. that’s nice ain’t it? Above all, He kept us safe from all dangers. no one dared to approach us or harass us. =) we made our way around safely. and for once, my blackberry conserved battery very well! i’m surprised at that!

Nov 29

of reunions, shopping and fatigue.

After much fussing about and calling to and fro, Yeet Chien and Lynn finally found their way out of downtown Chicago and reached my place.  :D We did a little catching up, and teased the thorn among the roses for a little bit. Don’t know why, but I do so love teasing them. XD it’s like sharing Lynn’s playtoy. XD hahahahahhahaha. not exactly an appropriate term, but what the heck, i meant it affectionately.

Anyway, YC cooked dinner, after we had a little bit of chicken caesar pizzar. =) yummy! We decided to take a group pic, and hung around doing nothing. ah. the bliss of holidays. Lynn had her much-needed rest before our shopping spree, while YC studied a bit and I didn’t sleep at all but made sure we left the house in a tidy state, just in case my cousins who went to Ohio came back earlier than we did.

Black Friday was… uneventful much for me. I bought the winter essentials though, but couldn’t muster enough energy to go along with Lynn and YC on a mad spree in N. Michigan Ave (a.k.a Magnificent Mile). Oh well. I went home earlier too, while they did last few bits of shopping. I nearly toppled over in fatigue. XD By the time I got back, I was well-rested from my nap in front of Forever 21 waiting for Lynn. XD DARN IT. But i made it back in time though, and spruce the place up a wee bit and waited for my cousins to return from their trip.

Once Lynn and YC got back, we went out for DINNER! <3 had a wonderful dinner at Tank’s! a Vietnamese restaurant. they serve the best curry chicken rice evah. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. lol. we saw Jyo Lin, Tee Jin, and some others there. what a coincidence. XD anyway, we slept like logs that night, and YC developed a bad cough, which wasn’t helped by his silliness to sleep downstairs with just a thin blanket. == So they had to leave the next day, so after we dropped them off at Chinatown, Abang Tuah and Kakak Minda took me to Old Orchard up north outside Evanston. It was awesome. Saw Nordstrom and a few other shops there! Too bad it wasn’t Black Friday anymore. Sigh. anyway, they bought me a nice pair of boots! So happy! and I bought a few books from the Barnes & Noble’s. XD hahahahahah. oops.

I’m back in West Virginia, now looking forward to my Texas trip after finals. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Nov 3

another awesome dream

Posted on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 in Dream Journal, Friends' Asylum

I can’t remember the origins of the dream.

In this dream, I dreamt that a family was canoeing on a river which apparently had two consecutive waterfalls. Somehow they didn’t fall down the first waterfall, but went down on the second one. I saw it up close, then slowly span away from it only to see 3 tall trapezoidal rocks with flat tops, separated by 2 chasms. They had water pouring down on them, but the middle rock seemed to have an unending flow of water, almost as if it’s a fountain too.

I saw how the family fell, and they survived, and swam to shore, all seemed calm. But then, a storm is brewing in the other end, ready to sweep them off the shore and bring them to another side of the land.

Then the scene changed to where a girl got out of a car with her boyfriend, who was apprehensive and somewhat disturbed by her fascination with a corrupt judge. They arrived at the judge’s house, and the girl went in first, and the boy followed a few minutes after only to find his girlfriend missing. He searches for her, and it leads to a house on tall stilts.

There was a lady there, ready to run away from the scene, but the boy stops her, and locks the gate. He also used a sharp metal rod with a pointed tip, the shaft already immersed in scorpion sting, to hit her on the bag. Red welts appeared on her back, and he hit her more, wanting her to tell him the whereabouts of his gf. In retaliation, she took Rubbie’s essence and hid it in a red ball, which the boy has to find. She wanted enough time to escape. Unfortunately for her, the boy found his girlfriend and with her help, Rubbie was brought close enough for his essence to be returned to him. They burst the red ball, found in a garbage bin, and Rubbie was back to himself again. Yay! Dream over!

Rubbie was fully functioning without his essence, only that he wasn’t himself, so to speak. He was dull and solemn. With his essence, he could light up. XD

Hah. I’m so glad I dreamed. :) I needed the mental recovery. ><

Oct 16

of a duck among the chickens.

Posted on Saturday, October 16, 2010 in Christian, Daily Motions, Friends' Asylum, Personal, Thoughts

i’ve never felt as lost as this before in my life. even among the westerners, i’m still okay, because i could actually understand what they were saying. tonight, i decided again, i would take another leap of faith, and go to a chinese church. a friend invited me, and clinging on fiercely to that flickering hope that some american dude/dudette would also be there and that i wouldn’t be alone in my little situation, i went for it.

it turned out… not exactly how i pictured it to be. first of all, i was told that it would be bilingual. second, that there was also at least one other English-speaking person with no knowledge of Chinese. well, honestly, i quite like it after all. there was earnestness in their pursuit of knowledge and truth, and despite being the duck, i felt at home. even if i didn’t know what they were talking about, even if i couldn’t hang out with my friends using my phone, i still fit in. oh, the food was great! =P asian foooddddddddddd. free asian food! yay!

lol. those who know me, would know that i would never, ever dare to venture into such a zone where i was virtually cut off from certain comfort. yet, God knows me better, and he knew that i enjoyed getting out of comfort zone. sometimes. apparently, if there’s food, i would like being outside the zone for a while. XD anyway, i had a great time fellowshipping and learning, and such peace that i’ve long forgotten came back to me. i’ve never felt so peaceful for so long. i’m just happy i got this opportunity.

i told stan and pinky about it. both had a good laugh at my situation. lol. well, it is sort of funny. i mean, iBan among Chinese? XD ah. guess what? i’m actually considering joining them again next week. XD the ironic thing is, i remember the first few times pinky and i made a pact to search for the right church, all around nilai. we went to a bilingual methodist church, then a charismatic church, she went to a baptist, and we went to city harvest. she was particularly comfortable at both the methodist and charismatic churches, and she went with me to the charismatic church instead. it wasn’t exactly her last visit to the methodist church anyway, she went there for a few more times, but was a regular at the charismatic one on sundays. anyway, one day she remarked to me that had it not been for me, she would have gone instead to the methodist church. haha.

look who’s going to the chinese church now? ah. God has an interesting sense of humor.

Sep 26

a huge dose of American football!

Posted on Sunday, September 26, 2010 in College Life, Friends' Asylum, Special Occasions

ah.

this post is long overdue, but it was say, a week ago. it was a match against the maryland terrapins. it was an exhilarating experience for me, and i went with a group of intervarsity cf people. =D chris and jed sort of explained to me about the game and how it’s played, and since chris was next to me throughout the game, he explained to me the stuff the crowd did at certain times. here’s what we do:

a) the kick-off.

i can’t exactly explain the details of the game, but well, during the kick-off, especially when the game resets (teams take turns to be the offense with the ball), we would take out our keys, jingle them while making the  “oooooooo” sound.

b) 1st down.

1st down means that we managed to get the ball a certain number of yards, and not faulted for not getting a touchdown. basically, we kinda achieved a good distance, then considered first down. so, for every first down, we’ll do the spirit fingers, make the “ooooo” sound, and then, when the commentator goes, “First down to WVU,” we go “W.V.U” (emphasized by slamming the air down 3 times as we say the letters, clap our hands once, and use a hand to indicate our direction of offense as we say, “First down!” lol. =D

c) 3rd down.

this is mainly for the other team. anytime our team is on the defense, we would make some 3rd down noise, or 4th down noise. =D mostly 3rd down. haha.

d) touchdown.

the crowd goes wild with touchdowns! once the score is official, a girl/light person will volunteer, and the guys/strong people will bounce her/him up in the air for the total number of scores. so if it’s 21 (meaning 3 touchdowns), 21 times. it was scary shit i tell ya. but i didn’t do it. lol. what if they dropped me? O.o not ready to die yet la. especially at that game.

my love story

i believe that love makes the world go round. without it, the world would skid to a halt, and crack.

this is my love story, what’s yours?

i have parents who call me at just the right time. =D they check up on me and make sure i’m never lonely. they also do their best to support me in college, be it financially, emotionally, or academically. they made sure to spend time with me, and to make sure all the formal things i had to go through went along smoothly. they raised me up, and took care of me so i would grow into a respectable individual.

then there’s my brother. we used to fight alot when we were younger, but somehow as we got older, we co-existed peacefully. we still had our disagreements, but we’ve learned to give and take, and also to forget. i still remember the times when he would buy an extra candy or extra junk food just for me. and he still looks up to me for advice, despite the fact that i’m in no position to do so.

i have grandmas and aunts and uncles and cousins and nephews who are always there to put a smile on my face. they make sure to let me know how much i mean to them on a daily basis, even through simple things such as calling me or just bringing me out for a ride. and my nephews are just so adorable, and they stick to me even though we barely meet up. even when they don’t call, i know they make it a point to mention me in their prayers and make sure God would have constant reminders of me.

then there’s friends. doesn’t matter where we met, and how, but they stick with me, despite the fact that i tend to run away or hide in my corner. they just wait for me to come out of the shell. and some stay with me in the shell.

last but not least, there’s my God. who never ceases to amaze me everyday. he wakes up the sun just in time for me to wake up, and makes the winds blow when i’m feeling warm. he makes it rain when it’s just way too hot. and makes it snow to hear my gleeful laughter. he’s written me a book of love letters, his passion woven into the words as he spun many a tale of the past, so i wouldn’t make a silly mistake. even if i do make a silly mistake, he takes it away from me, takes away the guilt, and gives it to Jesus. even when he had the choice, he’d rather die than let me cry. when i need help, he’s just a prayer away, and most of the time, he’s next to me. when i have no one to cuddle to, he’s there holding me tight.

so here’s my love story. and it’s still being written.

Sep 7

a great weekend.

i consider myself to be fortunate. even in a foreign land, i’m surrounded by familiarity. family and friends are here to support me. God is with me. i’m not alone. 8D

i spent my first labor day weekend with family, in chicago. my parents are still around, and will be leaving this wednesday. i’m gonna miss them so bad. =( anyway, we had a great time together, with my cousins, as we went around chicago. we took a trip to field museum, which has a dinosaur exhibit, among others. we wanted to go to the aquarium, but the queue was too long. and then we basically had a homely dinner the last night i was there. =) i love it. =D

i bought a few items, increasingly aware of the toll i’m taking on my parents’ income. =/ so i didn’t exactly splurge. in fact, i’ve stopped splurging. for now, i’m gonna focus on saving up and studying smart. hehe. and spending my time wisely. yay!

had a great videocall with lynn just now, just catching up. =D exchanged our addresses so that we can mail each other stuffs. sumthg like care packages? only smaller. lol. anyway, thank you, Daddy, for this life you’ve given me. my family, my hopes and dreams, my friends, my life. =) it is awesome as it is, and i hope that we’ll continue to make it awesomer. hehe.

among the things i bought were a pair of jeans, a few undergarments, t-shirts, jacket, flip-flops, and various other stationery. ^~^ i love it. weeeeee. hehehe. okies, time for me to get busy.

list of things to do:

  1. Timetable – personal & class
  2. Unpack -> laundry
  3. Filing -> bills, receipts, important documents.
  4. Homework -> chemistry, history, forensics, physics, japanese
Sep 3

the aftermath of a hectic week.

this is a review of my week, and things that i’ve found out about US. XD

i’ve just come back from a meeting – Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. it’s not so far from my place, so i’m just gonna give it a shot. i planned to adjourn to Campuse Crusade’s meeting at Eisland Hall, downtown, but it’s just way too far and way too dark for me to want to go down there tonight. and i’m freaking tired. exhausted, like seriously.

anyway, i kinda like my life here. i’m settling down so slowly, that my facebook account is facing a stunted life. lol. yeah, those were the days when you just remembered the new kid’s name and add him on facebook after meeting him. but hey, now i’m the new kid here. and i gotta work my way in. O.o but God has been gracious. =)

anyway, it kinda sucks being new. really. =/ but i like it so far. history class just got more interesting, and i found myself liking machiavelli’s the prince. anyway, i can now conclude that i’m getting more and more comfortable with the subjects i’m taking, despite the fact that they’re all heavy, and i have a heavy workload this semester. i’m fine with that. =)

anyway, there’s this history major who sat next to me in class. =) he’s kinda nice, and really chatty. but rather good too. =) nice guy. think he’s 18. XD hahahah. added him on facebook. ooh, and i started my day off with a fresh lemonade at the campus crusade stand. which was kinda cool! they seemed nice, but yeah, most people here are nice. i think i’m just gonna stick to intervarsity cf, since it seems small, and it’ll be easier to meet more people that way.

erm. well, i thought i was going to be really swamped here, but looks like i’m handling things very well, if i may say so myself. mwahaha. i’ve discovered a better way to get to class early and not miss the quizzes – pray really hard your professor lets you off earlier. which they did. today! i had back to back classes at different buildings, and well, let’s just say it was hard work getting to those buildings. but i prayed really hard, and it didn’t help that i had to skip my lunch and breakfast, but ahhh, was it worth it? definitely. came back, ate some noodles, had nesvita and took a power nap. =) awesome life.

and, i wanna talk about my roommate. i like her. =) she’s nice, and she’s really helpful. plus, we have a few common interests, and she was once a forensics major. before she switched to criminology. which i think is still cool. =D and she would be taking some dance classes sometime this semester, which i hope she remembers to update me about cause i’d like to take them too. anyway, she’s just nice. =) and without any of those melodramatic tendencies. i think she’s got a reasonable and cool head for things. =) mwahahahahaha. thanks, God. =) oh, and she’s from OHIO. =)

alrighty… that’s my post so far. and i shall be away this weekend to chicago. there’s an upcoming baltimore trip that i wanna discuss with my parents. i’m hoping my roomie can go too. XD oh, and i’m planning a thanksgiving trip to chicago for the black friday sales. weeee. lynnie planning to come with me as well! nice la. and ebay rocks. hahah. and my textbooks arrived. yay! so happy! mwahaha. alrighty. i wanna get back to psych. =)

Aug 9

it’s not goodbye.

Posted on Monday, August 9, 2010 in Daily Motions, Family Craziness, Friends' Asylum, Thoughts

it’s just “see you later” ;)

i’m in kl now, waiting for my departure to west virginia. surprise, surprise, jpa still has not confirmed my flight details. amazing, aren’t they? anyway, i’m fine with that, since i do know when i’ll be going anyway. thank God.

had a few stuffs going on before i left.

dinner with family and relatives. got some angpow ^~^ lol. that’s beside the point. but yes, had a few well wishes, and some typical motherly/fatherly advice on how to live abroad. hahaha. oh well, it’s ok i guess. dinner was great, we had kids’ menu for our kids’ table. no veggies! yay! hahaha. the noodles and rice was absolutely delectable. bon appetit, man! (to use a french phrase wrongly, of course). and caught up with a childhood friend. =) hehe.

i was near my limit when i was at home. almost everytime i was cornered, i would get all these sort of advices about boys, money, and safety. to repeat a typical teenager’s reply, “IKNOWLAH.” hahahaha. yeah. i know. i never really thought i could live independently without my parents, but living in INTI for 2 years, and coming home on rare occasions, proved me wrong. hehe. gladly proven wrong. i do thank God for my friends. they are heaven-sent, of course. =) i hope life in the US would not be much different in that respect.

anyway, now i’m in KL, and have just gone out with my friends. =) It was a great time, minus the Avatar: The Last Airbender movie that King and Kelvian insisted we go to. == it was such a boring movie and spoiled the whole anime. it completely ruined the entire anime that is completely original and exciting. gah. sucks. anyway, discovered a few things about a new person in my network. considered new because i didn’t dig into her life much when i first knew her. am very, very happy to know she’s a fellow crafter, and a fan of vintage charms. =) i like her style. and she loves stationery! hahaha. =)

anyway, i’ll be going out tomorrow as well, with my other group of friends. and tonight out with family. =) busy week in kl. but i’m okay with it. =) hee. alrighty. will talk about my bunneyhs and forays into the miniature world. =)

bigger (:

Posted on Sunday, August 1, 2010 in Friends' Asylum, Lyrics, Thoughts

haha. i shared this with my friends, thinking it would be pawning them instead. XD

Bigger – Backstreet Boys

First off I cant keep a promise
Im no one to count on at all
Add on that Im a coward
To scared to return your calls

Chorus
But you dont care
You keep sticking around
While Im locked in a cloud
Youre bigger
Lalala
Cuz youre still here
Your feet stuck to the ground
Despite how silly it sounds
Youre bigger
Than me
Lalala

Its known that Im a liar
Often Im blacker than white
Add on my uncanny ego
No ones as humbled like I

Chorus

All the messed up things I do
Yeah I swear I make them up to you
Before youre going heaven knows
Just let me make it better
Ill try to measure up to you

Chorus

Haha. >< It fits me.

epic dream.

Posted on Thursday, July 29, 2010 in Dream Journal, Friends' Asylum

lol. okies. here goes. it’s monkeyh’s dream, so here goes the story (from his pov):

Dreamt we went to hogwarts. Not enough rooms so new students stay in great hall. they locked us in to stop us from disturbing the suits of armor and clown statues but didn’t tell us why. u itchy hands, unlocked the door and went exploring. me and someone were trying to get you to come back but you were convinced they were hiding hashbrowns from us. u got caught by a clown and he gauged out your eyes. the clowns were off duty because it was late, hence they didn’t have to be fun and cheery. and also you somehow trespassed into a clown’s hideout and saw him without makeup. that’s why you lost your eyes.

extra comments: Haha. See la. Curious some more.

i can rival a few action-packed movies.

Posted on Friday, July 23, 2010 in College Life, Daily Motions, Dream Journal, Friends' Asylum

ah. another nightmare. what makes it unique is that it’s divided into 4 parts. i woke up after each part, but still the dream continued, as though i had not woken up.

first part:

i was talking to pastor vic, jialerd and another man and was explaining just why i could not make it to church on sunday. i told them i had to catch the night train on saturday, and i’ve already promised them. somehow they didn’t like it. was asking me why my parents didn’t let me to come to church. i couldn’t convince them that they had their valid reasons. so they told me to attend a conference. i agreed.

woke up.

second part:

i went for said conference, and when i arrived there, it was break time, though break time was almost over. so i had to warm up the rice and eat chicken wing. chicken taste okay, although cold. then somehow something in me told me to go home. i realized that everyone was too friendly. too focused on the new person. me. and i could see some leaders approve. somehow, had a funny feeling of the place. felt like a cult. didn’t know anyone. but everyone knew me. freaky. it started to rain. i couldn’t go home. i was stuck. and they knew i was a threat. so they placed me in a small zen garden-like facility. the place was made of wood, and as i took a tour, i saw that the back way was had a slanting drain going to a strange wide, concrete pool area without the water. someone told me that there was a black panther prowling at the end, ready to tear me to shreds if i ever ended up there. i saw a network of flower beds without flowers, but soil in them, walled with concrete, and it led to the exit. i told myself i’ll get out somehow.

woke up.

third part:

king called on my home, and he apologized for not sending me back. just coz he had important things to deal with. he explained that he went for a drag race at the borders of malaysia-thailand, but easily could have sent me home. to sarawak. O_O i was stunned, and didn’t know how exactly that would work. he explained, and as he explained an illustration window (much like a virtual holographic screen) appeared with the illustration. i saw a vast continent, which had a hole in the middle. then the hole was filled with water. and in the middle was west malaysia, and east malaysia. he said that they joined together last night. and so the two land masses combined, in the screen. i was stunned.

woke up.

last part, part four:

i tried to get out of there. i saw kelvian, and we got out together right out the front door. there were two men in front of us, wearing local football jerseys. one was yellow and black, vertically striped. instead of a pathway, or a road, we were met by a staircase of rails. instead of proper steps, it was rails. like the railings normally used to support ourselves going up or down a staircase. with huge gap between them, but somehow the guys thought it was okay to walk without trying to balance themselves or mind the gap. one fell  through the gap, and below, by now, i realize was a street riot. saw all kinds of people fighting there. they pulled him down. i was so afraid. by now we were round the corner, and i realized that there was another girl holding kelvian’s hand. i looked, and she pushed us towards down. i nearly slipped, but managed to get up, although there was a man who pulled my feet. i kicked him. kelvian somehow got into the fight, thinking it was fun. i had to pull him away. they got his legs. i pulled harder, wrenching him free. we rushed up, back to the zengarden facility. by now the steps look like normal steps. not railings.

the riot got more energetic. they began coming after us. hordes of them. we ran, trying to find an escape. i remembered the slanting drain and back exit. as we looked out the window, we saw cult members being transported out in black vans. almost as though in hurry. running away from the crowd. i forgot about the panther, and went into the drain. there was a net covering the drain. i saw the panther just waiting outside the end. i struggled my way to the top. and came out safely. saw many more panthers, all running out of the exit. the crowd scared them. somehow. i took it as a bad sign. so, we balanced our way through the network of flower beds. and reached the exit. near the exit was a coffeehouse. we sneaked into a car. i got in the back, kelvian in the passenger seat in front. he couldnt drive. injured his leg badly. i had to drive, but panicked. couldnt get in front from the back coz it was blocked. a lady came in, joined us. she was running away too.

woke up.

and that was the end of it.

one significant thing: i dreamt that a janitor told me to try out meeting up with jialerd and pastor in the beginning. this was dream memory that i got in the end. something like my character remembered something.
